This attractive floral block, choc full of organic rose petals will scent clothes, drawers and cupboard spaces for many months.
Harness the protective power of essential oils in your clothing, linen and cupboard spaces.
With rose geranium, ylang ylang and lavender essential oils your clothes and cupboards will never smell sweeter.
To rejuvenate the scent at any time, just scrape a little of the wax from the surface of the Cupboard Keeper.
What, Where and How
There
are many ways to use these scented blocks. Our intent when these were
originally designed was to use the Cupboard Keepers as an alternative to moth
balls, but our customers have come up with so many great ideas as well.
Some
of the uses include scenting the traditional clothing drawers, wardrobes and
linen cupboards as well as pantry cupboards (eucalyptus and spice are
especially good here), toilets, bathrooms, laundry cupboards where it gets a
bit damp, cars, even the office to help scent the space.
We
had one lady write to me and say that she had placed a Cupboard Keeper in the
bedside cabinet drawer in her mother’s room at a nursing home and now her
mother has a much nicer, brighter smelling room, and her mother is addicted to
opening her drawer to catch a breath of uplifting citrus scents.
Usage:
We
find that many people keep the wrapping on and then just slit the plastic
packaging along the ‘rails’ of the design side of the cupboard keeper when the
scent fades a little. This allows an increased amount of scent to escape
the packaging. Then they gradually unwrap the block as needed until it is
completely ‘naked’’. At this point the wax can be scaped back to allow more
scent to evaporate from the new surface.
This way the block should last a significant amount of time.
Alternatively we have had many people tell me that they place the completely unwrapped
cupboard keepers directly amongst their linen and clothes. Another person
has told me that she places her cupboard keepers in socks first when she places
them in her woollies drawer.
How long with the
Cupboard Keeper last?
This
is like asking how long is a piece of string.
It all really depends on how much of the scent evaporates from the
cupboard keeper block. The time a scent lasts is a function of exposure to air, heat and the area that the
scent is exposed to.
For
example, if you keep your cupboard keeper in the plastic and in a small space such
as a drawer then the scent would last many times longer than say a unwrapped
cupboard keeper in an open space such as a toilet.
Having
said this, most unwrapped cupboard keepers kept in drawers are still happily
scenting their clothing companions over 12 to 18 months after purchase.
